BANGLADESH still ranks high on the list of the most corrupt countries of the world. It is really unfortunate that even after 46 years of our independence we are branded as a top corrupt country. If we can eradicate corruption, or keep it within tolerable limits, it will be a lot easier for us to take the country to the next level of development. It is high time we waged a war against corruption and corrupt people who are siphoning off illegal wealth at our cost. Corruption has spread like cancer in our society and if we do not stand united against it, our future will be stolen from us. We hardly see corrupt people in our society being brought under justice and punished. This works as an encouragement for spreading corruption in the country.
Thus happiness of the majority of people is sacrificed on the altar of greed of a few. Let us join hands and stand united against breeding corruption as only a unified community can eliminate burgeoning corruption.
