THERE is no religion in this world that supports support terrorism. Particularly Islam is a religion of peace. Islam teaches us the essential messages of love. So many saints came to our land over the centuries and all of them preached love and fraternity to all. I think the religious leaders of today have an important role to play here in propagating the teachings of Islam which never approved of hatred and animosity against any human being.
Those who are found to be involved in terrorist activities in the name of Islam are not true Muslims. They are either hypocrites or a misguided lot. We all need to raise our voice and talk openly against terrorism and how it goes against the principles of all religions. The parents need to guide their children and make sure they are not brainwashed by some lunatics. We should not allow people to spread violence and terrorism in the name of any religion. Religion helps us to be more loving and compassionate and not the other way around. People of all religions are living in Bangladesh with peace and amity and we cannot let a limited few disturb the fraternal ambience in the country.
