Migratory birds and filthy ponds

JAHANGIRNAGAR University is so lovely a place with exquisite scenic beauty that you can just idle away hours together by sitting amid the bounty of nature. As a bonus, you will hear the chirping and fluttering of migratory birds all around the lakes of Jahangirnagar University at this time of the year. It is really a wonderful sight that you will never want to forget. Everything is worth doing there from trying the mouth-watering dishes at Bot Tola, winter cakes beside the medical centre to strolling around the 700-acre huge campus.
But one thing that drew my attention and upset me is indiscriminate littering of wastes everywhere, especially on the lake where watchers stand and watch the birds and the sitting stairs beside the pond adjacent to the medical centre. The pond offers a beautiful sight but you can hardly sit on the stairs because of dirt and garbage. The university authorities, therefore, need to deploy cleaning staff from dawn to dusk to keep these beautiful spots clean. This is not an impossible task for such a unique university. I hope, the authority will take this into account and keep the campus clean.
