Incidents of motorcycle theft

MOTOR cycles are considered by some people as a better means of transport due to the traffic situation in Dhaka city. They prefer it to many other transports as it can help them move faster in the city. In addition, many people can afford motor cycles as they are cheaper. Motor cycles are also easier to park as they occupy a smaller space. These are the reasons behind an increasing number of motor cycles across the country.  But with this, the incidents of theft of motor bikes are also increasing. It is a lot easier to steal a motorcycle than a private car and to hide it after theft. These incidents are rising alarmingly. 
We often come across reports of motor cycle theft. There are reports also of organized gangs involved. These gangs are highly skilled in the art of theft which is the reason why we hardly hear about any stolen motor cycle being recovered. The offenders just disappear after stealing a bike within a few minutes.  A few days ago, one of my friends lost his new motorcycle from the parking space of his house and he is yet to get it back. Most of the bike owners duly inform the police, but in most cases the law enforcers cannot recover the stolen bikes. The law enforcing agencies need to be more agile in locating the thieves. The bike tracker system is very handy to undo all attempts to hide the stolen bikes. These efforts by the concerned agencies can definitely help us bring down the number of theft if not eliminate it completely.
