HIGH COURT has recently issued an order prohibiting use of hydraulic horns across the country. The ruling is wise and well perceived as hydraulic horns have a devastating effect on human body. It also causes various mental ailments. Many diseases are caused by unsavoury sound of insipid hydraulic horns. We hope the law-enforcement agencies will strictly enforce the law and bring to book all those drivers who flout the High Court order. Noise pollution in Dhaka has already assumed ominous proportions and needs to be controlled without any further loss of time. The culprits violating the court orders should be brought to book and awarded exemplary punishment so that noise pollution is effectively reduced and hydraulic horns are not used anywhere across the country.
