Kazi Abdur Rahman new DMD of Agrani Bank

Kazi Abdur Rahman joined as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) at state-owned Agrani Bank PLC on Thursday.

He was posted at Agrani Bank through a circular signed by Jehad Uddin, Deputy Secretary of the Financial Institutions Department of the Ministry of Finance on April 24, 2024, according to a media release. 

Before joining, he efficiently served as Deputy Managing Director at Rupali Bank. Kazi Abdur Rahman joined Rupali Bank as Senior Officer in 1998 through BRC.

At various stages of his career, he worked as DMD at Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, held various positions including branch manager, zonal manager, and divisional manager at Rajshahi, Rangpur and Dhaka (North) and also discharged his duties as general manager in Rupali Bank’s local office with integrity, the release says. 

Mr Rahman participated in many training programmes, workshops, seminars, and symposiums at home and abroad, including at BIBM and Bangladesh Bank. He obtained his Masters in Islamic History and Culture from National University and his MBA from Khulna University, the release adds.
