Hosne Ara Begum also called on other agencies to extend their support for the online service integration, so that the investors can easily complete necessary process to start their businesses in the country's hi-tech parks.

"The integration of online services will help the country make significant progress in the ease of doing business index," she added.

The BHTPA inked an agreement with Business Automation, a local information technology (IT) company, in April 2018 to launch the online OSS.

As per the OSS act, several government agencies, including the BHTPA, the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), are implementing the OSS centre, which will provide services both online and offline.
