The Board of Directors of Green Delta Insurance Company Limited has recently re-elected Mr. Md. Abdul Karim as Chairman and Mr. Kamran Idris Chowdhury as Vice Chairman.
Md. Abdul Karim, former Principal Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh, is the Managing Director of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).
Earlier he served as the Secretary to the Government in the Ministries of Commerce, Fisheries and Livestock, Home Affairs, Communications (Bridges Division) and Finance (Internal Resources Division). He also served as the Economic/Commercial Counselor of Bangladesh Embassy in Belgium. Mr. Karim was Chairman of the National Board of Revenue and Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation. He was Chairperson of a number of national level committees of various ministries.
Kamran Idris Chowdhury is a fellow member (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales(ICAEW) and institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).
He worked for Touche Ross in London(currently DeloitteTouche Tohmatsu), prior to returning to Bangladesh in 1988 and joining A Qasem& Co, Chartered Accountants, the member firm of Ernst and Young International in Bangladesh. He was a partner in A Qasem& Co from 1992 till December, 2014, said a statement.
