‘Food for Nation’, an online platform for agricultural products, was launched on Saturday for the first time in the country to maintain food supply chain.
The platform will help to enable marginal farmers to get fair prices as well as consumers to get the required food-grains and agricultural products as per their demand easily within a short time and at the right price.
Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak inaugurated this online platform (www.foodfornation.gov.bd) through a videoconference from his ministry on Saturday, reports BSS citing a press release.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak presided over the function.
Farmers, marketers, storekeepers and institutional consumers will get the opportunity to verify prices and quality of the product across the country and have direct commercial communication on the platform through the countrywide network of ‘Ek Shop’.
