In the rapidly changing global situation Emirates' loyalty programme- Emirates Skywards is keeping pace.

Members can now earn 25 per cent bonus Tier Miles, not just Skywards Miles, on everyday spends online and at retail outlets in the UAE during these challenging times.

The initiative is a first from Emirates Skywards, and it joins less than a handful of global airline loyalty programmes offering a similar benefit, according to a media release.

Tier Miles are normally linked to miles flown and determine tier status – Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum. But by earning Tier Miles on everyday spends, even without flying, members can now step up each tier quicker, unlock many more travel benefits, and go places with better comforts when Emirates resumes services.

As online shopping gains traction and the UAE eases restrictions, all members have to do to earn Tier Miles is to use their Emirates Skywards co-branded credit cards and apps: Skywards Everyday and Namshi, from the online fashion retailer.

Members gain one bonus Tier Mile for every four Skywards Miles they earn until 31 July 2020 and have the opportunity to earn up to 25,000 Tier Mile, the release added.

Members will continue to earn Skywards Miles through their spends, and these can be redeemed for reward tickets, upgrades, tickets for concerts and sports events and other experiences, and to reduce the cash component when booking flight tickets.
