e-CAB launches hotline for traders, buyers

E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) on Monday launched a special hotline number for traders following the directions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Jahangir Alam Shovon, chief operating officer of the association, confirmed the matter in a press statement on Monday.

The association also initiated to include other e-commerce traders in the platform, reports UNB.

Shomi Kaiser, president of the association, said that the Prime Minister's advice of flourishing e-commerce is '100 per cent befitting' for the current situation.

“We have taken the advice as an instruction and the association would always work for infrastructural development of e-commerce,” Kaiser said.

The importance of e-commerce came into the limelight since the country restricted public gatherings and people's movement in general to prevent the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19).
