Leading lifestyle and business English monthly of the country Colors will recognise contributions of top business executives in Bangladesh’s development and celebrate their success through an award ceremony early next year.
Colors CEO of the Year 2020 will felicitate deserving Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) in four categories at a gala dinner on April 04, 2020 at Hotel Intercontinental Dhaka, said a statement.
Colors is now into its fifth year of publication. The premier monthly is published simultaneously from Dhaka and New York. Colors is committed to make positive changes in the society through sharing inspiring stories of achievements. Colors also initiated Platinum Women Business early this year and has awarded young women entrepreneurs in seven categories.
‘Colors CEO of the Year 2020’ is formally announced through a press conference at ERF auditorium in Dhaka on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
A distinguished panel of judges will decide the final winners after going through the nominations. The nomination is open now.
The awards will be given in four categories – ‘CEO of The Year 2020 in Financial Sector (banking and non-banking financial institutions), ‘CEO of The Year 2020 in FMCG Sector’, ‘CEO of The Year 2020 in RMG Sector’, and ‘CEO of The Year 2020 in Large Manufacturing Sector’.
“The CEOs are the unsung heroes of the country’s phenomenal growth. We have taken this humble initiative to honour them and thus celebrate Bangladesh’s success,” Zakaria Masud, Editor and Publisher of Colors, told the press conference. Colors’ Advisory Editor Ziaul Karim and Head of Marketing Lucky Begum were also present.
“We think they are the role models for the next generation of CEOs,” said Zakaria Masud, adding that the awards are going to be distributed at a time when Bangladesh is ready to celebrate its 50th year of independence.
Colors seeks nomination of a CEOs for each of the four categories, from the stakeholders. Candidates themselves can also directly apply for any of the awards.
A powerful jury comprising renowned entrepreneurs, business executives, economists and other relevant professionals will nominate the winners of the awards.
The prizes will be handed over to the winners at a gala ceremony at Dhaka InterContinental Hotel in the first week of March 2020.
