The board of directors of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) Limited has recommended 10 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2019, said an official disclosure on Wednesday.
The final approval of the dividend will come during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on November 24 at Chattogram Boat Club in Chattogram district.
The record date is November 06, 2019.
The state-run corporation has also reported EPS of Tk 3.62, NAV per share of Tk 56.95 and NOCFPS of Tk 4.80 for the year ended on June 30, 2019 as against Tk 0.82, Tk 53.61 and Tk 1.45 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
In 2018, the company disbursed 6.0 per cent cash dividend.
Each share of the company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 1977, closed at Tk 52.80 each on Tuesday.
The company’s paid-up capital is Tk 1.52 billion and authorised capital is Tk 10 billion, while the total number of securities is 152.53 million.
The government owns 52.10 cent stake in the company while the institutional investors own 13.09 per cent and the general public 34.81 per cent as on August 31, 2019, the DSE data shows.
