Mahbub ul Alam promoted to MD of IBBL

Md Mahbub ul Alam has been promoted to the Managing Director (MD) and CEO of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL).

Bangladesh Bank, regulator of banking sector, formally approved the appointment following the decision of the Board of Directors of IBBL.

Earlier, Md Mahbub ul Alam discharged his duties as the Additional Managing Director and Head of Investment (Credit) Committee of the bank.

Mahbub ul Alam joined IBBL in 1984 as a probationary officer. In his 34-year career, Mahbub ul Alam served as the head of Corporate Investment, Retail Investment, International Banking and Operations Wing.

He completed his Honours and Master’s degrees in Marketing from Dhaka University.
