The ICC World Cup match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was called off without a ball being bowled on Friday because of persistent rain. Both the teams were awarded one point each.

After this abandoned match, both Pakistan and Sri Lanka have now three points each, reports UNB.

Before coming to this all-Asian encounter, both Pakistan and Sri Lanka have won one match each in two games that they have played in the tournament so far.

Pakistan lost to West Indies by seven wickets in their tournament opener but made a stunning comeback in the second game thumping hosts England by 14 runs.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, started this iteration of the World Cup losing to New Zealand by 10 wickets.

However, Sri Lanka made a good comeback beating Afghanistan in the next game by 34 runs.
