Jamal M A Naser, chief executive officer of National Life Insurance Company Ltd (NLIC), has died of COVID-19.
He breathed his last at United Hospital Ltd in the capital on Sunday, according to media reports.
Mr Naser got admitted to the hospital on June 12 after he had tested positive for coronavirus.
A renowned person in the insurance sector, Mr Naser served NLIC as chief executive officer for around eight years since 2012.
He joined the company as additional managing director in 2011.
