EBL signs ESF agreement with ICB

Eastern Bank limited has recently signed an Entrepreneurship Support Fund (ESF) agreement with Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB).

Md Refat Hasan, General Manager of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) and Ahmed Shaheen, Deputy Managing Director of Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations in Dhaka.

ESF has been formed by the Government of Bangladesh to boost Socio-economic development and create job opportunities through investing in food processing, agriculture based and ICT projects, said a media release received today (Thursday).

Eligible EBL customers now can apply for loans for these projects.

ICB Deputy General Managers Shukla Das and Md Al Amin Talukder; EBL Head of International Business and Offshore Banking, Md Obaidul Islam, Head of Inbound Business and China Desk  Iftikhar Imam  were present on the occasion among others.
