BSTI revokes licenses against eight products

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has revoked the licenses of eight products of six companies due to the expiry of the license.

The licenses have been cancelled in accordance with Section 16 (5) of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institutions Act 2018 and the Licensing Agreement at the BSTI Certification Committee meeting on Monday.

The concerned organisations were instructed to refrain from selling and distributing these products and commercial advertisements without obtaining a valid license.

At the same time, the customers are requested to refrain from purchasing products of these brands.

The products are: 'Basmati' brand of fortified edible rice bran oil of Green Oil and Poultry Feed Industries of Rangpur Kotwali, 'Ifad Solid Gold' brand of  fortified edible rice bran oil  of Ifad  Multiproducts Limited of Ashulia at Savar, ‘Puriva’ and ‘Ripe’ brands of fortified edible rice bran oil of Agrotech International Limited of Shombhuganj in Mymensigh, 'Tasty' brand of fortified palm oli of Green Trade House of Shibpur in Narsingdi, ‘Ok’ brand of fortified soyabin oil and fortified palm olein of Chandgaon in Chattogram, and ‘RDJucila’ and ‘RDFazli’ brands of mango fruit drinks of Mithupukur in Rangpur.
