A total of 303,202 motorised vehicles were registered across the country in the first ten months of the current calendar year, as per official data.
Of the vehicles, 97,894 were registered in Dhaka in January to October 2020, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
Among them, the mode of vehicles that had the highest number of registrations was motorcycles while cargo vans were the lowest number of registered vehicles.
As many as 247,897 motorcycles were registered in January to November of this year across the country while only two cargo vans were registered during the period, the BRTA data showed.
A total of 504,130 motorised vehicles were registered in 2019 while the number was 497,374 in 2018.
