The number of registered motorised vehicles in Dhaka stood at 13,692 in January 2019, as per official data.
Of them, the mode of vehicles that had the highest number of registration was motorcycles, while auto tempo, human hauler and cab were the lowest number registered vehicles, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
8,777 motorcycles were registered in January 2019, while the number of the registration of auto tempo, human hauler and cab was zero.
Moreover only one cargo van was registered in that time, said the data.
A total of 13, 84,192 motorised vehicles were registered until January 2019, the figures showed.
