RAB detains ‘drug pedlar’ with 5kg heroin in Rajshahi

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) during a drive arrested a suspected drug peddler along with 5 kilograms of heroin worth Tk 50 million (five crore) from Sarengour area of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district on Sunday afternoon.
The arrestee was identified as Md Sajemon (37), son of Md Alauddin, hailing from Hakimpur village of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila, reports UNB.
On information, a team of Rab-5 led by additional superintendent of police Sakibul Islam, also company commander, launched a drive in the area around 6:00 pm and arrested Sajeman along with heroin, said a press release.
