Myanmar-Canada trade hits $105m in FY 2017-2018

Bilateral trade between Myanmar and Canada amounted to over 105 million US dollars as of February in last fiscal year 2017-2018 which ended in March, Myanmar's government-owned newspaper reported.

The newspaper, Global New Light of Myanmar, reported Saturday that during the period, the country's exports to Canada shared 59.6 million US dollars while its import value took 45.5 million US dollars.

In accordance with the figures from the Commerce Ministry, the country's trade with Canada totalled over 80.23 million US dollars in FY 2016-2017.

The country's agricultural products, minerals, animal products, marine products, manufactured goods and forest products are mainly exported to Canada, reports Xinhua.

Capital goods, intermediate goods and consumer products from Canada are mostly imported into the country.
