JnU student dies in Thakurgaon road mishap

A Jagannath University student was killed and his friend wounded after a sugarcane-laden tractor hit their motorcycle on Thakurgaon-Baliadangi road in Baliadangi upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Simon, 21, son of Yusuf Ali and a student of Department of Land Law and Management of the university.
Officer-in-Charge of Baliadangi Police Station, Mostafizur Rahman said the accident occurring around 8:30 pm left the two friends critically injured.
Later, Simon succumbed to injuries on the way to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital, reports a local news agency.
