Dr Zafarullah accuses govt of 'cashing in on' pandemic

The government is "cashing in on" the Covid-19 pandemic, Public health activist Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury alleged on Monday.
He made the allegation at a human chain organised by ‘Constitutional Rights Forum’ held in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka city.
Dr Zafrullah, also the founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, said the government has failed to stem the uncontrolled price hike of commodities.
Incidents of rapes and abuses of women are unabated in the country, he added, urging people to mount a movement against these all.
The human chain was presided over by Suranjan Ghosh, president of the Constitutional Rights Forum.
