Police arrested a teenage boy for raping an eight-year-old girl and recording video of the incident in Rajshahi.
Local people caught the 16-year-old rapist red-handed and handed him over to police on Sunday night. The accused is a resident of Hogram area of the city.
The victim’s father filed a case with Kashiadanga police station on Monday morning.
The child has been admitted to One-Stop Center of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
According to the case statement, the teenage boy lured the child to a nearby forest where he raped and videotaped her.
Later neighbours rushed to the spot to rescued the child.
According to locals, the father of the accused teenager is an identified drug dealer of the area.
Officer-in-Charge of Kashiadanga police station SM Masud Parvez said that the accused was sent to Women and Children Repression Prevention Court on Monday, reports UNB.
