‘Son’ hacks mother to death in Benapole over family dispute

A woman was hacked to death allegedly by her son at Tutkhali village of Benapole in Sharsha upazila over family dispute on Thursday morning.

 

Locals said Bappi Rahman, 19, son of Masudur Rahman, hacked his mother Ayra Kahun, 40, indiscriminately around 7:30am, leaving her dead on the spot, reports UNB.

 

On information, members of Border Guard Bangladesh rushed to spot and detained the alleged killer.

 

Later, police recovered the body of Ayra Khatun and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for an auopsy, said Alamgir Hossain, officer- in- charge of Benapole port police station.
 

Police also took Bappi into custody and process was underway to file a murder case, he added.
