Plastic factory catches fire in city

A fire broke out at a plastic factory at West Islambagh in Dhaka city's Lalbagh area on Thursday.

Ershadul Islam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room, said the fire broke out at around 12:40pm at the tin-shed plastic factory and spread rapidly.

11 firefighting units went to the spot and were trying to tame the blaze till filling of this report at around 2:00pm, reports UNB.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
