A nor’wester is likely to sweep over eight divisions including Dhaka at any time today (Friday) and Saturday, according to a bulletin prepared by Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
The thunderstorm is likely to sweep over a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Barishal and Chattogram divisions, the BMD in its weather forecast said.
Rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur during the period, it reads.
In its 24-hour forecast, the Met Office said day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged in the country.
In its outlook for the next 72 hours, it said about no marked change.
Trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area of Bangladesh, the bulletin added.
The weather forecast is valid for 24 hours from 9:00am on Friday.
