Nepal plane crash: Relatives identify 17 of 26 Bangladeshis

Relatives have identified 17 of the 26 Bangladeshis who died in the US-Bangla Airlines plane crash in Nepal.

Bangladesh Ambassador in Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams confirmed the number of identified Bangladeshi victims to bdnews24 news agency on Saturday.

She said the bodies would be sent back to Dhaka on Tuesday.

The identified passengers are Rafiq Zaman, his wife Sanzida Huque and their 6-year-old son Aniruddha Zaman, Foysal Ahmed, Bilkis Ara, Akhtara Begum, Rokibul Hasan, Hasan Imam, Meenhaz Bin Nasir, child Tamarra Prionmoyee, Motiur Rahman, SM Mahmudur Rahman, Nuruz Zaman and Tahira Tanvin Shahshi Reza, and pilot Abid Sultan, co-pilot Prithula Rashid and crew member Khwaja Hossain Mohammad Shafey, reports bdnews24.

The Bangladeshi victims yet to be identified are crew member Sharmeen Akhter Nabila, and passengers Nazia Afrin Chowdhury, Begum Hurun Nahar Bilquis Banu, Alifuzzaman, Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Akhi Moni, Faruk Hossain Priok, Pias Roy and Umme Salma.
