Japanese FM sits with Mahmood Ali

Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono met his Bangladeshi counterpart AH Mahmood Ali on Sunday.

The meeting was held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in Dhaka at 8:00 am and ended at 8:45 am.

Foreign Ministry's public relations officer Khaleda Begum said no briefing was held after the meeting.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam, Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque and Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Hiroyasu Izumi were present during the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministers of Germany, Sweden, Japan and the European Union High Representative have visited the Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar on Sunday.

According to UNB, Bangladeshi Foreign Minister was with them.

Later, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and the Foreign Ministers of Germany and Sweden will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this evening.
