Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Tuesday removed two shops and one passenger's shed at Satmasjid Road in the city's Dhanmondi area.
A DNCC team, led by its Executive Magistrate Sajid Anwar, conducted the raid from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, said DNCC Public Relation Officer (PRO) ASM Mamun.
During the drive, it evicted two shops, which were built on the footpath near Mohammadpur Physical Training College. Besides, a shed was also evicted from the footpath during the time, the PRO said.
The DNCC will continue its eviction drives against the encroachers who illegally build structures on streets and footpaths, he added, reports UNB.
