DMP warns against bid to create anarchy ahead of polls

Tough action will be taken if any attempt is made to deteriorate the law and order situation ahead of the national election, warned Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia.

"The class and the profession will not be considered while taking action,” the DMP chief was quoted by UNB news agency as saying while speaking at a press briefing held at the DMP media centre on Thursday.

Now the law and order situation in the country is much better than in the past, and there is no possibility of deterioration in it either, he claimed.
