A truck driver and a helper were arrested along with seven kata pistols from Debpur Police Outpost area in Burichong upazila early Thursday.
The arrestees were driver Rubel, 25, and helper Al Amin Sagor, 12, hailing from Chokoria upazila in Cox's Bazar district.
A patrol team of the outpost conducted a raid in the Sylhet-bound vegetable-laden truck around 5am and recovered the pistols, said sub-inspector Mohammad Shahadat Hossain.
UNB said police arrested the duo in this connection.
