People in Dhaka experienced around 15mm of rainfall on Wednesday morning, that led to water stagnation and traffic congestion in parts of the city.

Commuters, specially the office and school goers, struggled the most to reach their destinations.

Fifteen millimetres of rainfall was recorded between 6:00am and 9:00am, said Ruhul Kuddus, a meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department, reports UNB.

The rain may continue till Thursday, he said.

In its Tuesday's forecast, the Met office said a westerly low lies over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining southwestern part of Bangladesh extending its trough to North Bay.

It predicted rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind, in parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places and hails at isolated places.
