The Bangladesh Bank has fixed office hours for all scheduled banks in the country during the holy month of Ramadan.
As per the new schedule, banking transaction will take place between 9:30 am to 2:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday during Ramadan, said a circular issued by the central bank on Sunday ahead of Ramadan, report UNB and BSS.
However, banks will remain open from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm with a break from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm for prayer. Service will also continue during this break through bank’s internal coordination, said the circular.
Services at all banks across the country will remain off on Friday and Saturday throughout the holy month, the notice added.
