The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 38 drug suspects from the city in a regular anti-narcotics drive for selling and consuming illegal drugs.
Different police stations under DMP conducted the drives and arrested the suspected offenders from different areas of the capital in the last 24 hours ending at 6:00am on Wednesday.
The drives led to seizure of 364 pieces of contraband yaba tablets, 361 grams heroin and 180 kilograms cannabis, 391 canned beers and some other drug items, according to a DMP statement.
A total of 26 cases were filed under the Narcotics Control Act against the suspects with the concerned police stations in the city.
