21 rivers register rise, 67 fall

Water levels in 21 rivers stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 67 stations recorded fall.

Among the 94 monitored water level stations, five are steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Wednesday.

All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger levels.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna river is in falling trend. The Brahmaputra river may continue falling in next 24 hours, while the Jamuna river may continue falling in next 48 hours.

The Ganges-Padma river and major rivers of Meghna basin are in falling trend which may continue in next five days, reports BSS.
