UODA, CODA, SODA arrange annual get together

University of Development Alternative (UODA), College of Development Alternative (CODA) and School of Development Alternative (SODA) arranged annual reunion on Friday.

The three institutions, established under Complete Education For Alternative Development (CEFAD) foundation, arranged the get together programme for former and current students as well as former and current teachers along with family members.

The programme was inaugurated at Physical Education College playground at Mohammadpur area in Dhaka on Friday morning, said a press release.

Professor Emajuddin Ahmed, former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University and Professor Emeritus of UODA, was present at the inaugural ceremony.

He said former students are contributing maximum expenditure of total budget in some renowned private universities throughout the world, like Harvard.

The former DU VC thinks, UODA could be like these private universities. He sought a coordinated effort from all in this regard.

UODA founder and president Professor Mujib Khan presided over the function.

Mujib Khan said UODA, CODA and SODA was established as part of a complete education programme in alternative method.

"Human beings need to gather knowledge on purity, morality and responsibility. UODA, CODA and SODA are trying to build up students ensuring such qualities," he said.

Participants enjoyed a cultural programme at the last session. Popular actor, a former teacher of CODA, Chanchal Chowdhury also joined the day-long programme.

UODA Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Rafiqul Islam Sharif, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Ahmedullah Miah, Registrar Professor Dr Iffat Chowdhury were present at the function, among others.
