DU to hold ‘Lal Jatra’ to recall 1971 black night

'Lal Jatra' (Red Procession) will be brought out at the Dhaka University campus on Saturday to remember the black night of 1971.

Theatre group 'Prachchanatto' will organise the procession, marking the genocide by Pakistani Army on March 25, 1971, reports UNB.

The procession will start from the Swaparjita Swadhinata chattar located at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) and end at the Smrity Chirantan (memorial eternal) situated at Fuller Road.
