BD students prefer studying in Australia, UK

Australia and the United Kingdom (UK) have emerged as preferred destinations for the students of Bangladesh planning to study abroad.

A recent study conducted by PTE Academic for PTE test takers, the computer-based test of English proficiency for immigration and study abroad disclosed this, said a statement.

 

The study reveals that the 76.7 per cent of applicants from Bangladesh show the strongest desire to study at Australian and UK universities and prefer both the countries for migration as well.  Furthermore, 53.5 per cent of these students apply for post-graduate courses while 28.9 per cent opt to pursue graduate courses.

On the preference of specialisation, the study revealed that 23.9 per cent students going abroad prefer Accountancy, followed by Business Management (16.9 per cent) and Engineering (16.6 per cent).

 

Globally, PTE Academic is accepted by thousands of academic programmes in the USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. PTE Academic scores are accepted when applying to migrate to Australia and New Zealand. Most recently, international students studying in Malaysia now need to demonstrate their English language proficiency and PTEA is accepted by Malaysian government for this purpose.
