Police arrested a young man reportedly along with a light gun, three bullets and 5 kg hemp at Charmohona in Raipur upazila early Friday.
The arrestee was identified as Nasir Uddin, 30, son of Chunnu Miah of the area.
Acting on a tip-off, police set up a check-post in the area and arrested Nasir along with the gun, ammunition and the drugs in the early hours, said AKM Azizur Rahman Miah, officer-in-charge of Raipur Police Station.
Nasir was produced before a court after two cases were filed over the arrest and recovery, the OC said, adding that he was already accused in several cases, reports UNB.
