Man dies as motorcycle crashes in Jessore

A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Rajganjarea of Manirampur upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said Jamal Hossian, 45, a speech-impaired son of late Jabber Sarder, hailing from Dashani village in the upazila, was returning home riding his motorcycle, reports UNB.

When Jamal, who used to run motorbike on hire, reached Rishipara intersection around 5:15 pm, a human hauler (trolley) rammed into his bike, leaving him dead on the spot, said officer-in-charge of Manirampur Police Station Mokarram Hossain.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore General Hospital for autopsy, the OC said, adding that the trolley was seized but its driver managed to flee.
