A man was killed and 14 people were injured in a collision between a truck and a human hauler on Magura-Jessore highway in Shimulia area of Sadar upazila of Magura district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Samir Saha (40), a construction worker, hailing from Jagla village of the upazila, a news agency reported.
Elius Hossain, the Officer-in-Charge of Magura Police Station said the accident occurred when the Jessore-bound truck hit the human hauler (locally named as Nasimon) around 10:30 am after the truck driver lost control over the steering amid dense fog, leaving Samir dead on the spot and 14 passengers of the human hauler injured.
