Eastern Housing approves 20pc cash dividend

The 55th Annual General Meeting of Eastern Housing Limited was held at RAOWA Convention Hall, Mohakhali, Dhaka recently.
The AGM was presided over by Manzurul Islam, Chairman of Eastern Housing Ltd.
Members of the Board of Directors Mrs. Suraiya Begum, Mr. Abdur Rahim Choudhury, Mr. Md. Abdul Wadud, Mr. Mostafizur Rahman, Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Mr. Kashem Humayun, Managing Director Mr. Dhiraj Malakar, Company Secretary Salim Ahmed, FCS and a large number of shareholders attended the meeting.
The shareholders unanimously passed the accounts for the year ended 30 June 2019, Directors’ Report and the Auditor’s Report.
The shareholders also approved 20% cash dividend i.e. Tk. 2.0 per share of Tk. 10 each for the year 2018-2019.The Company achieved net sales of Tk. 358.10 crore as against Tk. 341.97 crore in the previous year registering a sales growth of 5.0 per cent.
Net profit after tax stood at Tk. 34.55 crore for the financial year 2018-2019. Earnings per share was Tk. 3.70.
