Coastguards rescue kidnapped fisherman in Sundarbans

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard early Thursday rescued a fisherman who was kidnapped by forest robbers from Mathabhanga Canal of Chunkuri River of Sundarbans in Satkhira.
The rescued fisherman is Ruhul Amin Morol, son of Jakir Morol at Chunkuri village of Shyamnagar upazila in Satkhira.
Amir Hossain, Station Officer of Koikhali Camp Coast Guard said acting on a tip-off they conducted a drive on Mathabhanga canal and rescued the fisherman while the forest robbers managed to flee.
They also recovered four pipe guns, bomb, knife, marble, mobile phone, boat from the spot, he said, reports UNB.
