The World Car Free Day 2017 is being observed in the country like elsewhere in the world on Thursday. The slogan of the day is: Go car free and choose your ride: walk, bike or take bus.
President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have issued separate messages on the eve of the day and wished the day's programmes a success.
The day is celebrated across the world with the aim of raising awareness of improving public transport system for promoting traffic jam and pollution free urbanisation.
