US-Bangla to operate special flight to take back 45 Indian sailors

US-Bangla Airlines has decided to operate a special flight from Dhaka to Delhi to take back 45 Indian Seafarers stranded in Chittagong due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A special flight of US-Bangla is scheduled to take back the sailors from Dhaka at 9:00 am and arrive in Delhi at 12:30 pm local time tomorrow (Wednesday), says a media release.

The private airlines will operate the special flight in direct collaboration with the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, Bangladesh Foreign Ministry, Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority and Indian Civil Aviation Authority.

Mumbai-based Sea Dogs Marine Services Pvt Ltd is in overall charge of repatriating 45 Indian Seafarers. The flight will be operated by a 72-seat brand new ATR 72-600 aircraft, said the release.

US-Bangla Airlines has already operated few special flights from Chennai, and Bangkok to Dhaka to bring back 3,000 Bangladeshi nationals stranded in Chennai and Bangkok due to the outbreak and also 26 Taiwanese nationals travel from Dhaka to Delhi.

US-Bangla Airlines plans to operate a special flight from Dhaka to Delhi in compliance with all types of health rules, including social distance, as directed by Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority.
