Two students found dead at hotel in capital

Police have recovered the bodies of two students from a hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Two students have been found dead at Hotel Samrat on Green Road, the police said.

Police recovered the bodies from a room on the eighth floor around 4:30pm, said Tejgaon Police OC Mazharul Islam.

The dead have initially been identified as Aminul Islam, a student of Tejgaon College University, and Mariam Chowdhury, a student of World University, the police said.

The two identified themselves as a married couple while checking in to the hotel on Monday, reports bdnews24.com.

Noticing that the couple had not left their room until Tuesday afternoon, authorities of the hotel went to the room and called for them.

But after their calls went unheeded, the authorities informed the police of the matter. 

Police found the two bodies lying on the bed.
