Two pharmacies fined for selling date-expired medicine, baby food

A mobile team of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) on Tuesday fined two pharmacies including chain medicine shop Lazz Pharma Ltd Tk 40,000 for selling date- expired medicines and  baby food at higher price in the city.

The DNCRP’s mobile team, led by its Assistant Director Abdul Jabbar Mandal, conducted drives at Shantinagar and Kakrail areas between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm in the morning, reports UNB.

During the drive, the mobile court fined  Lazz Pharma  Ltd of  Kakrail Branch Tk 10,000 for selling expired medicines, Tamanna Pharmecy of Shantinagar Tk 30,000 for selling baby food at higher price, said Assistant Director of the DNCRP Abdul Jabbar Mondal.
