Two die after taking liquor in Sirajganj

Two men died after drinking toxic liquor at Sonamukhi Bazaar area in Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj district on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Motiar Rahman Moti (42), son of Joynal Abedin of Panchgachhi village and Belal Hossain (50), son of Iaarbokh of Paschim Khukshia village of the upazila, reports UNB.

Moti and Belal drank toxic liquor at the bazaar in the early hours of Wednesday and fell sick, said Samit Kunda, the Officer-in-charge of Kazipur Police Station.

Later, Moti died at his home while Belal at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital while undergoing treatment there, the OC added.
